MAMA Film

Partnership with Kenyan filmmaker Cindy Mbae, GHD, and MAMA Kenya to produce a short film highlighting the plight of women's health in East Pokot, Kenya, through the eyes of one woman, Hellen Marron. Through a transcontinental – largely online –
collaborative process, we worked with
American cinematographer Sarah Nathan to produce the film.

Six Voices
Research Lead
This project pioneers the use of the ‘six voices’ research framework in order to develop a methodology for analysing the text message data collected through The SHM Foundation's Project Khuluma. The six voices include – medical science, literature, socio-cultural, implementation, technology and adolescent voices.​

160 Characters is a participatory and interdisciplinary collaboration between the SHM Foundation and UCL’s Institute of Global Health aimed at generating insights from the 60 000+ text messages sent by adolescents living with HIV in South Africa in peer-to-peer support groups through Project Khuluma.
